Adding a cancellation or no-show fee helps protect your time and ensures clients commit to their scheduled appointments. Bookme makes it easy to add this policy to any service.
Follow the steps below to turn on a cancellation or no-show fee.
Step 1: Open Your Service Settings
Log in to your Bookme Dashboard
Hover over the service you want to update
Click the three-dot menu (…)
Select Edit
This will open the service editor.
Step 2: Enable the Cancellation / No-Show Fee
In the service editor, go to the Price tab
Under your rate, you’ll see a checkbox labeled:
“Activate a cancellation or no-show fee”Toggle the switch ON
Save your changes
Note: you can only enable a cancellation/no-show fee for paid services.
Once enabled, this fee will automatically appear on your service page and during checkout.
Step 3: Preview Your Service
You can preview your service to ensure everything looks correct:
Click Preview from the three-dot menu
Scroll to the bottom of the service page
You’ll now see a Cancellation Policy section added to your service
Clients will also see this policy during the booking process.
What Clients See
When booking your service, clients will:
See the cancellation/no-show policy clearly displayed
Acknowledge the policy before confirming the booking
Understand any fees that may be charged if they cancel late or do not show up
This helps set expectations and protects your business.
