Bookme allows you to accept multiple payment types — including cash payments. Enabling cash options gives your clients additional flexibility during checkout while still letting you manage bookings, cancellations, and messaging through the platform.
Follow this guide to activate cash payments for any service.
Step 1: Open the Service Editor
Start from your Dashboard:
Hover over the service you want to update
Click the three-dot menu (…)
Select Edit Service
If you're creating a brand-new service, this option will appear during setup in the Pricing tab.
Step 2: Enable Cash Payment Options
Inside the service editor:
Go to the Price tab
Scroll to the bottom section labeled Accept Cash Payments
Toggle the switch ON
Select the specific cash payment types you want to offer (e.g. cash in person, Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App)
These options will be shown to the client during checkout.
Step 3: Add Optional Instructions (Recommended)
You can include custom instructions to explain how you want clients to pay. Examples:
“Please send Zelle to: [email protected].”
“Bring cash to the appointment.”
“Payment must be completed before the session begins.”
These instructions appear at checkout and help set clear expectations.
You’ll also see a helpful tooltip explaining how clients will view these options.
Step 4: Save and Preview
Click Save Changes
(Optional) Click Preview to see exactly how this appears to Bookers
Select a date and time, then proceed to checkout
You’ll now see Cash Payment Options displayed during checkout
When a client selects one of your cash options, they’ll also see:
Your payment instructions
Your cash policy (if applicable)
They can then complete the booking using cash instead of card.
What Clients Experience
When cash payments are activated:
Clients will see your available cash payment methods during checkout
They’ll see your instructions before confirming their booking
They can complete the booking using cash without entering card details
This gives them a seamless, flexible way to book while keeping everything centralized in your Dashboard.
