How to Manage Email Notifications

Email notifications keep you informed about bookings, messages, and important account updates. You can manage email notifications globally from settings or customize them for individual services.

Step-by-Step Guide: Managing Email Notifications from Settings

Step 1: Open Settings

  • Log in to your account.

  • From the left-hand menu, click Settings.

  • On mobile, Open the hamburger menu and tap the settings link.


Step 2: Go to Notifications

  • Inside Settings, click the Notifications tab.

  • You’ll see notification options for Email and Mobile.

  • For this article, we’ll focus on Email Notifications.


Step 3: Enable or Disable Email Notifications

  • Toggle Email Notifications on or off.

  • The email address currently on file is displayed.

  • Click Change next to the email address to update where notifications are sent.


Step 4: Choose Which Email Notifications You Receive

Below the email toggle, you can enable or disable three types of notifications:

  1. Bookings Notifications
    Receive updates about booking confirmations, cancellations, scheduling conflicts, and status changes.

  2. Messages Notifications
    Get notified when you receive a new direct message from a client or another user.

  3. Bookme News & Updates
    Stay informed about important account updates, feature releases, and Bookme news.

These settings control your global email notification preferences.


Step-by-Step Guide: Managing Email Notifications per Service

You can also control email notifications at the service level.

Option 1: When Creating a New Service

  • From the dashboard, click Add New.

  • Continue through the setup steps.

  • The final step (Step 7) is the Notifications tab.

  • Configure email notifications for that service.


Option 2: Editing an Existing Service

  • From the dashboard, hover over the service you want to update.

  • Click the three-dot (⋯) menu.

  • Select Edit.

  • Open the Notifications tab.


Step 5: Enable Booking Notifications for a Service

  • Scroll to Booking Notification Preferences.

  • Check the box next to Email Booking Notifications.

  • Click Save Changes.

Email notifications are now enabled for that specific service or appointment.
