The built-in Messenger keeps all communication with your clients in one place. Fully connected to bookings, history, and service details. It works like a modern chat app, with added context specific to your services and appointments.

Accessing the Messenger

Step 1: Open Messages

  • Log in to your account.

  • From the left navigation menu (desktop) or hamburger menu (mobile), click Messages.

  • This opens the built-in Messenger, where all conversations with clients are managed.

Understanding Conversations and System Messages

Step 2: View Conversation Threads

  • Each conversation represents a direct message thread between you and a client.

  • Alongside normal messages, the system automatically inserts system messages.

What System Messages Include

  • Booking confirmations

  • Booking updates or changes

  • Cancellations and status updates

Each system message includes a direct link to the booking record, making it easy to access booking details instantly.

Viewing Booking History with a Client

Step 3: Open Booking History

  • In the top-right corner of the conversation, you’ll see Booking History with a number in parentheses.

  • This number shows how many bookings you’ve had with that client.

  • Click Booking History to open a side panel.

Step 4: Review Past Bookings

In the booking history panel, you can see:

  • All past bookings with that client

  • Dates and times

  • Service types

  • Delivery method (online or in person)

Click any booking to open the full booking record.

From the booking record, you can:

  • View complete booking information

  • Edit the client contact details

  • Add internal notes about:

    • The booking

    • The client

    • Any relevant context or follow-ups

All notes are saved per booking and accessible directly from Messenger.

Joining Online Sessions from Messenger

Step 6: Join a Video Call

  • If a booking is delivered online:

    • The booking record shows the delivery method

  • If using Bookme's built-in video chat:

  • Click Join Video Call to launch the session instantly with your client

No extra tools or links required.
