How to Create a Permanent Zoom Link for Your Online Service on Bookme.com

Learn how to create a permanent Zoom link using your Personal Meeting ID or a recurring “No Fixed Time” meeting and add it to your Online Service on Bookme. Includes security tips and when to use bookme’s built-in video chat instead.

Updated over a month ago

If you prefer to use your own Zoom meeting room instead of bookme’s built-in video chat, you can create a permanent Zoom link and paste it into the Zoom field when setting up your Online Service.

This allows you to use the same meeting URL for every client booking — no need to generate a new link each time. Below are the two recommended methods.

Method 1: Use Your Zoom Personal Meeting ID (PMI) (Recommended)

Every Zoom account includes a Personal Meeting ID (PMI) — your permanent meeting room.

Step-by-Step:

  1. Log in to the Zoom web portal (zoom.us).

  2. Click Profile.

  3. Locate your Personal Meeting ID.

  4. Find your Personal Link (example: https://zoom.us/j/123456789 or zoom.us/my/YourName).

  5. (Optional – Licensed users only) Click Customize to create a branded URL (e.g., zoom.us/my/YourName).

  6. Copy this link.

  7. Go to your service inside bookme > Method.

  8. Paste the link into the Zoom field of your Online Service.

  9. Click Save.

This link will remain active unless you manually reset it.

Method 2: Create a “No Fixed Time” Recurring Meeting

If you prefer not to use your PMI, you can create a recurring meeting that does not expire.

Step-by-Step:

  1. Log in to the Zoom web portal (this cannot be done in the desktop app).

  2. Click Meetings.

  3. Select Schedule a Meeting.

  4. Check Recurring Meeting.

  5. Under Recurrence, select No Fixed Time.

  6. Under Meeting ID, choose Generate Automatically.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Copy the meeting link.

  9. Paste it into the Zoom field in your bookme Online Service.

  10. Save your service.

This meeting link remains active for 365 days after its last use.

Security Best Practices for Permanent Zoom Links

When using a static meeting link, we strongly recommend:

  • Enable Waiting Room – You manually admit clients.

  • Require a Passcode – Adds extra protection.

  • Disable “Join Before Host” (unless intentionally needed).

These settings can be managed inside your Zoom meeting configuration.

Prefer Simplicity? Use bookme’s Built-In Video Chat

If you’d rather avoid managing external meeting links, bookme includes its own integrated video chat.

Benefits:

  • No third-party setup required

  • Automatic access after booking

  • Fully integrated with your service and scheduling

  • No permanent link security concerns

To use it, simply select bookme’s video chat option when creating your Online Service — no Zoom link needed.
