How to Add "Add-Ons" to Your Service

Learn how to add add-ons to your services to increase average order value. Create optional upgrades with pricing, quantity limits, and images, and offer them during checkout, so clients can enhance their booking with one click.

Add-ons let you increase your average order value by offering optional upgrades or extras during checkout. Add-ons are currently tied to individual online or in-person services and are shown to clients while they book.

Notes:

  • Add-ons are not available for free appointments.

  • We have plans to separate add-ons from services so they can be available on your profile and purchased independently of whether booking a service or not.


Step-by-Step Guide: Adding Add-Ons to a Service

Step 1: Log In and Select a Service

  • Log in to your account.

  • From the dashboard:

    • Hover over the service you want to update

    • Click the three-dot (⋯) menu

    • Select Edit

OR

  • If you don’t have a service yet:

    • Click Add New

    • Select Online Service or In-Person Service

    • Continue through the setup wizard until your get to the Add-ons step


Step 2: Go to the Add-Ons Step

  • In the service setup or edit wizard, navigate to Step 5: Add-Ons.

  • You’ll see two options:

    • Add-Ons

    • Packages

For this article, we’ll focus on Add-Ons.


Step 3: Create a New Add-On

  • Click Create Add-On.

  • An overlay will open with the add-on setup form.


Step 4: Enter Add-On Details

Fill in the following fields:

  • Title
    Example: T-shirt, Hot Stones, Special Oils, Downloadable PDF

  • Description
    Write your own or use the AI text generator to help.

  • Price
    Set the cost of the add-on.

  • Maximum Quantity per Booking

    • Enter a limit if inventory is restricted

    • Use a high number (e.g., 100) for effectively unlimited availability


Step 5: Add an Image

  • Upload your own image or

  • Use the AI image generator to create one


Step 6: Save the Add-On

  • Click Create Add-On.

  • If you’ve created add-ons before:

    • Use the New / Existing toggle at the top

    • Select from previously created add-ons instead of recreating them


Step 7: Save Changes

  • Click Save Changes in the service editor.

Your add-on is now active.


How Add-Ons Appear to Bookers

  • Clients first select the date, time, and duration of the service

  • On the next step (checkout), your add-ons are displayed

  • Bookers can choose optional extras before completing the booking
