Adding buffer time between bookings helps you avoid back-to-back appointments and gives you time for breaks, travel, or preparation between clients. You can add time before, after, or both for each service.
Step-by-Step Guide: Adding Time Between Bookings
Step 1: Log In and Open Your Dashboard
Log in to your account.
From the dashboard, locate the service you want to edit.
If you haven’t created a service yet, click Add New and follow the service creation flow. You will be able to add Buffer Times on the Schedule tab.
Step 2: Edit an Existing Service
Hover over the service you want to update.
Click the three-dot (⋯) menu.
Select Edit.
Step 3: Go to the Schedule Tab
Inside the service editor, click the Schedule tab.
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Step 4: Enable Time Between Bookings
Find the option labeled "Need to add breaks between bookings?"
Click the "Add Time Between Bookings" button.
Step 5: Set Time Before and/or After
Enter the number of minutes you want to block:
Time Before the booking
Time After the booking
You can set:
Only time before
Only time after
Both before and after
Example:
If you’re a massage therapist and need time to prepare the room, you might add 15–20 minutes after each booking.
This also works well for:
Travel time between appointments
Rest breaks
Setup or cleanup time
Step 6: Save Changes
Click Save Changes.
The buffer time is now automatically applied to every booking for that service.

Clients cannot book appointments within the buffer period
Your availability adjusts automatically
Your schedule stays realistic and manageable
No one can book you during the blocked time before or after a service.
